Awesome Aigas visit and lots more…

Where do I start…what a productive and fun week with P2/3!

We have been reading “What the Ladybird Heard” and used our art session to paint the characters for a beautiful display. We have a lot of budding young Picasso’s in our class!

The children were also in fits of giggles at me reading “What the Ladybird Heard” in Scots. Can the tell you the name for a Ladybird in Scots?? Or any of the other animals? Answer: it’s a Clockleddy! 😂

We had a visit from Aigas field centre to feed our curiosity on hibernation and migration. This will fit in beautifully when we read The Gruffalo’s child and we think about animals in winter.

The children were tasked to make warm and cozy hedgehog homes and what a job they made of them! Such careful thought and great teamwork to build masterpieces!

We were trying out our ball skills in gym this week. The challenge was to only use the inside of our feet to dribble the ball. We also finished with a penalty shoot out…move over Ronaldo and Messi! ⚽️

We had some very proud architects wanting to show their creations on the blog too…

…and we finished the week off by winning the Top Banana 🍌 award for most fruit brought in for snack! Well done P2/3…I’m very proud of you all!

What a great week, let’s see what this one brings. Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 👋🏼
